Love Your Enemies, Overcome Evil with Good

When you remember the mean things a person did to you, remember, first of all, your own sins and the punishment you deserve from God. Remember the mercy and forgiveness God has freely lavished on you in Christ, and then, as you cherish the mercy your heavenly Father shows to you, remember to reflect the same mercy and kindness and forgiveness to those who sin against you.
