Expanding Opportunities to Share Jesus
God has richly blessed Good Shepherd through the generosity, prayers, and service of so many people during our Building Connections to Share Jesus facilities expansion project.
What began as a vision to create more space for ministry and relationships is quickly becoming a reality. As construction nears completion, we are excited for the opportunities these new and renovated spaces will create for Christian education, athletics, fellowship, outreach, and community connection for years to come.
The full project is scheduled to be completed in mid-August, with a dedication celebration planned for August 30.
Project Highlights
New High School Sized Gymnasium
Our new gymnasium is now complete and is ready for ministry, athletics, school activities, and community events. This space provides new opportunities for fellowship, recreation, and connection with families in our congregation, school, and surrounding community.
Additional Classrooms & Meeting Spaces
The existing gymnasium is being transformed into eight additional classrooms and flexible meeting spaces to support the continued growth of our school and ministry programs.
Expanded Parking
To better serve worship guests, school families, and ministry events, the parking lot expansion will add approximately 50 additional parking spaces.
Renovated Support Spaces
Two existing classrooms are being renovated into new restrooms, concessions space, and changing rooms.
These improvements will better support athletic events, school functions, and large gatherings.
A Project Designed to Serve Generations
This project has been made possible through the faithful support of our congregation, generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and the partnership of Builders for Christ.
We are especially thankful for the many members and volunteers who have contributed countless hours of labor, planning, encouragement, and prayer throughout the process.
Together, God is providing spaces that will help us build relationships, serve families, and share the message of Jesus with our community for generations to come.
How You Can Continue to Support the Project
As we near the finish line, there are still opportunities to support the ministry impact of this expansion.
Several important items were intentionally left outside the primary construction budget to help steward project costs wisely. These special gifts will help fully equip the new spaces for ministry and community use.
